FAQs

What does 1.4 ATA mean, and why a soft-shell chamber?

ATA stands for atmospheres absolute, the unit used to describe the pressure inside a hyperbaric chamber. At 1.4 ATA (about 5.8 PSI / 42 KPA), this chamber pressurizes to a level commonly used in mild hyperbaric protocols, and a 10 LPM concentrator delivers 95%+ oxygen while you're inside.

Soft-shell means the cabin is an inflatable fabric chamber, here built from extra-strength 3-layer 44 oz food-grade TPU/polyester with triple- and penta-welded seams over a quick-connect steel frame, rather than a rigid steel vessel. Soft-shell chambers like this one are lighter, more portable, and operate at lower pressures than hard-shell, ASME-coded units.

How does setup, oxygen, and power work?

The chamber arrives with everything needed to run: an oil-free air compressor pressurizes the cabin, the included DeVilbiss oxygen concentrator supplies the oxygen, and a quick-connect internal steel frame assembles without tools. Total system weight is about 134 lbs, with the chamber itself around 31 lbs.

It draws roughly 1,560 W total and can run continuously and safely. A 5-stage filtration system and the included dehumidifier help manage moisture and carbon dioxide buildup, while a power-outage alarm and attendant buzzer keep each session monitored. Our wellness experts walk you through setup as part of the included support.

Who is this chamber best for?

This is a single-person, sit-up chamber, so you settle into an upright seat rather than lying down. The ultra-wide cabin (55"L x 44"W x 66"H, with an 18"W x 59"H door) gives genuine room and fits a standard chair, which makes it well suited to homes, apartments, offices, and wellness studios that are short on floor space.

It is designed to be operated solo, from pressurization to exit, which appeals to individuals using it at home as well as facilities offering it as a service. It is not configured as a walk-in or wheelchair-accessible chamber, and it is intended for one occupant at a time; if you need a lie-down or mobility-accessible format, consider a different chamber style.

Is hyperbaric therapy right for me?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is generally used to support recovery, circulation, and overall wellness, and individual results vary. It is not a substitute for medical care, and we don't make claims that it treats or cures any disease.

There are also contraindications to be aware of, including a history of COPD, severe asthma, or certain lung conditions such as pneumonitis. Always consult a qualified physician before beginning any hyperbaric protocol so you can confirm it's appropriate for your situation.
