FAQs

What does the ECHO Whole Home Water Filter remove?

The Essential tier removes chlorine and chloramine-related odors. The Plus tier expands chloramine reduction. The Premium tier adds enhanced reduction of chloramine, PFAs (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), and lead. All tiers reduce sediment, dirt, and other particulates from your home water supply.

What is the difference between salt and salt-free softening?

Salt-based softeners use ion exchange to remove minerals like calcium and magnesium that cause hard water scale. Salt-free systems condition the water to reduce scale buildup without removing minerals. Salt softeners require periodic salt refills, while salt-free systems require less ongoing maintenance. Choose based on your local water profile and household preferences.

What is the optional UV purification for?

UV purification is an optional add-on available across the Essential, Plus, and Premium tiers. UV neutralizes bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms in your water without using chemicals. It is a strong choice for households on well water or those concerned about microbial contaminants.

How is the ECHO Whole Home System installed?

The system installs at your home’s main water line, typically near the water heater or where the main supply enters the home. Professional installation is recommended. Installation requires plumbing connections and access to a power outlet for systems with UV purification.

What certifications does the ECHO Whole Home System carry?

Built with FDA-approved materials and NSF 61 certified coconut shell carbon. California Prop 65 compliant. The system is engineered for minimal pressure drop so household water flow stays strong while contaminants are reduced. Each tier carries its own certification documentation, available on request.
